GATES Equine Program
GATES is a mentoring program designed to teach youth (Gals/Guys) through Training, Encouraging one another, and Service. Gates are used often to protect and keep horses in safe boundaries. Gates are also opened to guide horses into richer, greener pastures. “Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.” Psalm 118:19
The GATES Program is for youth, ages 12 through high school. They will do barn chores together, care for their assigned horse and learn basic riding skills. The goal of GATES is that a deeper development of relationships, trust, responsibility, and discipline will result through this process. This program meets weekly and runs for six weeks in the spring and fall.
Our GATES program is a valued program in our community. Due to high demand, we accept participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *Program cost is $300. If you used our software last year (2025), please login with your username and password. If you are new to our system, you can create an account now by clicking the button below. *There is a $50 non-refundable deposit collected at the time of registration to guarantee a spot. This can be paid via debit, credit card or electronic check. Please pay remaining amount one week prior to your start date.
Cancellation requests received at least one week prior to the first day of camp will be refunded, less the $50 non-refundable deposit. No refund will be given for: a dismissal due to disciplinary action, late arrival, early departure, or for participants who do not attend and do not notify STR of the cancellation.
