Angel is owned by Lori Brooks, our Program Director. Originally, the Ranch purchased Angel with the intention of using her for the programs. When Angel came to the Ranch, she was extremely fearful due to past abuse. Only experienced riders were able to work with her, and even they were challenged. In late 2008, it was decided that Angel needed to be a one-person horse. Mrs. Brooks’ lifelong dream of owning a horse came true when she purchased Angel. Angel needed someone who would be consistent and work with her one on one. Mrs. Brooks’ love and patience has helped Angel become a confident and curious horse and no longer fearful. Angel is now used for Remnants and summer camp trail rides. She is the oldest horse at the Ranch.
