Where Hope Can Be Found

Dear Friends,

I don’t think there is one of us who doesn’t love a particular genre of music.  Whether it is country, Christian, rock-n-roll, classic or even rap…music speaks to our soul.  I love in scripture how many times God “speaks” to us through song.  Some scholars even believe that He sang the universe into existence…it is no wonder we are all drawn to music.  Recently, I have been fueled by a song called “O Lord” by Lauren Daigle in which she sings,

“Though times it seems
Like I’m coming undone
This walk can often feel lonely
No matter what until this race is won
I will stand my ground where hope can be found
I will stand my ground where hope can be found”

As I enter my 14th year of serving camps I am humbled, excited, determined, scared, overwhelmed and above all else RENEWED by the faithfulness of the One who sang this ministry into existence.  I may have had my doubts over the years but one thing that has never wavered is my trust in God and His mighty hand that has held and protected this little ministry for well over a decade.

I am encouraged to see how God calls people to serve at Strong Tower, who share the vision and see the importance and urgency to share the gospel with children.   I truly understand why Jesus rebuked the disciple for shooing the little ones away.  The Bible says that Jesus was “indignant” when He saw this and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

There are many changes taking place in my personal life…my daughter is getting married, my son is moving to another city and my youngest will be a senior in high school.  As the ebb and flow of life continues one thing is certain and never changing; God’s call on our lives to be the salt and light of this earth.  Jesus is giving us time, mercy and patience to continue the work He started.  I have seen that when children come to Him, it is not long after that their families follow.  Our work at Strong Tower is so important and life changing, it is more than just a camp and horse program…it is HOPE, a STRONG TOWER for the hurt and lonely in our community to find refuge.

What an honor and privilege to once again be entering into a summer full of children coming to the ranch, coming to Jesus…the only true place where HOPE can be found.

Thank you all for your continual support, love and prayers!!!
