The Remnants program is for the encouragement and shepherding of youth who have or had unique circumstances in their lives. “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries …. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid.” Jer. 23:3-4
The Remnants Program ministers to youth ages 6 to 17 by pairing them with one leader and a horse. They will be doing work projects, taking care of their horse, and learning how to ride. Success will be built on the beginning foundation of God’s grace through the example of loving adults who set appropriate, safe boundaries in a goal centered environment. The time spent with the horse will also reinforce acceptance and forgiveness, peace, and understanding. Horses do not put conditions on their love, and they are extremely forgiving. Horses can be wonderful teachers for these concepts.
Sessions are 90 minutes long and runs for eight weeks. This program is funded through sponsorship and by appointment only.
Saturday openings begin March 11 running through May 6 and are held from 10:00am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 2:00pm. We will be taking the weekend of Easter off which is April 15.
