The Remnants program is for the encouragement and shepherding of youth who have or had unique circumstances in their lives. “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries …. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid.” Jer. 23:3-4

The Remnants Program ministers to youth ages 6 to 17 by pairing them with one leader and a horse. They will be doing work projects and learn basic equine skills and care. Success will be built on the beginning foundation of God’s grace through the example of loving adults who set appropriate, safe boundaries in a goal centered environment. The time spent with the horse will also reinforce acceptance and forgiveness, peace, and understanding. Horses do not put conditions on their love, and they are extremely forgiving. Horses can be wonderful teachers for these concepts.

Sessions are 90 minutes long and runs for four weeks. This program is funded through sponsorship and by appointment only.

Saturday openings for spring of 2018 are March 10, 17, 24, April 7, 14, 21 (Note: There will be no programs on Easter Weekend March 31)
and held from 10:00am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 2:00pm.

***Registration form will be available by January 25, 2018***

Our desire is to make sure no child is unable to participate in STR horsemanship programs due to lack of funds. While this program is valued at $130, we offer it at no charge. If you are able to pay some or all of that amount, it would be helpful. However, this would not be considered a donation due to the fact that you are receiving a “goods or service.” If you donate above the amount of $130 in order to help other children receive the program, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the amount above the program value. Thank you for your support of the STR ministry.
